Ultimate Tasmanian Golfing Getaway
Australasia & South Pacific, Australia
Golf enthusiasts will be thrilled by this new offering. Easy to slot in to a busy schedule, this three day getaway includes two days playing the iconic links courses of Barnbougle and a round at Australia’s newest course, Cape Wickham Links, on King Island. At Barnbougle, accommodation is at the stylish Lost Farm Lodge and access is via charter flight from Melbourne.
Day 1: Melbourne - Launceston - Barnbougle Golf Club
Depart Essendon Airport on your charter flight to Launceston. Transfer to Barnbougle Golf Club, located on a coastal strip on the rugged north-east coast of Tasmania, where deserted beaches fold into undulating farmlands. Enjoy 18 holes at The Dunes today (B). Lost Farm Lodge.
Day 2: Barnbougle Golf Club
Today, take to the links and play 20 holes at Lost Farm, Barnbougle’s second course. Just a short pitching wedge across the river from The Dunes, Lost Farm is remarkably different, winding along the rugged coast and through drifting dunes (B). Lost Farm Lodge.
Day 3: Barnbougle Golf Club - King Island - Melbourne.
Return transfer to Launceston for your flight to King Island where you are transferred to Australia’s newest golf course, Cape Wickham Links. This course is unique in that all its 18 holes enjoy views of Bass Strait and many have greens adjacent to the ocean: the 18th bends around the beach at Victoria Cove. Enjoy 18 holes before returning to King Island Airport and flying back to Essendon (B).
